We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled L3 Engineer to join our advanced technical support team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, mentoring junior staff, and leading technical projects. This role involves handling the most challenging problems, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve the most complex technical issues escalated from L2 support, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage critical IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and cloud environments.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Project Leadership: Lead technical projects, from planning and design to implementation and evaluation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect IT systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including developers, network engineers, and external vendors, to implement comprehensive solutions.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to L1 and L2 engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Incident Response: Lead the response to major incidents, coordinating efforts to quickly resolve issues and minimize impact.
- Change Management: Manage and oversee changes to the IT environment, ensuring thorough testing and minimal disruption.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in IT support, with at least 3 years in an L3 Engineer role or equivalent.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Advanced understanding of networking principles, including complex configurations and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency with monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Security Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices, including firewall management and threat detection.
- Certifications: Advanced certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve highly complex technical issues.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and projects.
